This year marked the start of the third World Cup of Hockey, which starting with this year’s will occur every four years, much like the World Cup of Soccer. It’s for this reason that the World Cup of Hockey generates so much excitement: from line combinations and teams you would never see in the NHL to a cure for the “offseason blues.”
But, there are some risks that come with playing in the World Cup, the biggest one being injury. As we’ve already seen, many players had to drop out before the start of the tournament due to lingering injuries or the risk for aggravating a current injury.

In 2013 the San Diego Padres packed up their Triple-A team and moved them to El Paso. Fans would get the opportunity to name the team from a list including the Aardvarks, Buckaroos, Chihuahuas, Desert Gators and Sun Dogs.
The winner was the intimidating three- to seven-pound Chihuahuas. The name got mixed reviews and a petition started on the internet to change the name. The petition gained more than 10,000 signatures.

That’s what we are doing here.” Continue reading “El Paso Embraces the Chihuahuas”

This time, the main event will be for the WWE Universal Championship in a match between the champion Kevin Owens and the challenger Seth Rollins. Clash of Champions is replacing the old moniker known as Night of Champions, which was the annual WWE pay-per-view that took place in the month of September.
Last year’s event came full circle with the WCW theme as the legendary Sting faced off with Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship. This year, Rollins is in the spotlight again, but this time he goes into the match without the belt. It is an event full of championship matches and looks promising, as now it’s time to preview all the matches and give a prediction on how the show will go down.
