With all that’s going on in the world it’s reassuring to know we may have sports again. However a lot of leagues still debate when to start ,or if they are going to start again in 2020. The league however that seems to have the most issues reaching an agreement is Major League Baseball.
How much players get paid, how many games will be played, playoff structure and player safety are the main talking points in these discussions before the season starts.
Honestly I hope they can find a compromise and start playing. I miss baseball the most out of all the professional sports taking a break. While I understand the state of the world and player safety is very important, I do think there is a way to find a compromise and get to playing. I think a lot of us wouldn’t mind having professional baseball to lighten up the mood a bit and make things a bit more bareable.
Honestly I’m not too confident we will see a season. It seems like everyday that passes with no agreement we get less of a chance to see baseball again. Especially if one of the biggest sticking points in the negations is the number of games. With each passing day theres one day less to have games, especially if they want to end the season farly early to deal with a potential second wave of the pandemic. It’s just going to get to a point where the number of games just won’t be worth playing and I feel we are getting close to that point.
