We Are The Brooklyn Saints Review

On Netflix you can watch the first and so far only season of We are The Brooklyn Saints. The series follows the Brooklyn Saints youth football organization as they try and make it to Florida to compete for a national title.

The show has four episodes that are about 50 minutes each. It’s very compressed. It’s easy to binge, but it feels like they try and cram too much into one episode. If they wanted to focus on one age group that might not be as bad, but for multiple it has problems.

I just feel like it could have used a bit more time. Escpially if you compare it to Friday Night Tykes,or Coach Snoop. I think with a little more time to work with it would have been even better. It’s worth the watch though if you enjoy football shows, or need something that’s only a season.

Last Chance U Basketball

S. Samek

With Last Chance u being a popular show for football, why not try it for basketball? Well that’s exactly what they did.

On Netflix you can watch the East Los Angeles College Huskies as they chase the championship and scholarships in hope of a better life. The series has eight episodes that are close to an hour each. Though it’s not like it gets boring ,or heavy that it’s something you couldn’t binge.

I don’t think it stood out as the best season of the show, but I didn’t feel it was the worst. Basketball worked just as well as football, so no issues with switching sports. It seemed to get the same treatment as football.

I would recomend watching if you’re a fan of the original. Though you could easily watch it as an intro to the series and be just fine as well.
