The Anaheim Ducks had a rough season this year. They missed the playoffs and have just 57 points with one game left to play sitting in 14th place in the Western Conference. However, they made a move toward hopefully a brighter future on Suday. They signed Cutter Gauthier to a three-year entry level contract.
Gauthier scored the most goals in the NCAA this season with 38 as he helped lead Boston College to the finals at the Frozen Four.
He was also one of three finalists for the Hobey Baker award, which he lost to Macklin Celebrini of Boston University.
Gauthier was actually traded to the Ducks after being drafted by the Flyers in 2022 with the fifth overall draft pick. He will join the Ducks for their last game on Thursday against Las Vegas. Could this be a glimpse into a brighter future for the Ducks? Tune on Thursday and find out.
