James Madison Bowl Game 2023

James Madison is lighting it up this season at 10-1. They even have a spot in the AP top 25. However, they won’t be going to a bowl game due to rules after they transition rules regarding their recent joining of the FBS. So, the Dukes decided to challenge the NCAA legally. However, this looks to be stopped. This pretty much ends the run for them in 2023. Though should the Dukes be allowed to make a bowl game in light of this?

Steeler Monday 11/20/23

Well looks like the clock struck midnight on the late game heroics. 6-0 in games decided by eight or less points become 6-1 with a loss to the Browns. The Browns with a brand-new backup quarterback making only their second start ever. Now no the Browns didn’t look great either, but still allow a fourth quarter winning drive to the backup come on. Why does that seem to be a trend with the Steelers too losing to the backup quarterback.

Defense looked solid as usual.

Jaylen Warren had 129 yards on the ground, his second game in a row with 100 plus yards. Kenny Pickett was only 15 of 28 for 106 yards but did lead a late field goal drive to tie it up. Though the offense still just looks to be stifled.

It’s a tough loss in the division too. They now sit two games behind Baltimore with them still on the schedule. Pittsburgh is a mere game out of last place in the North ahead of just the Bengals, this week’s opponent.

In the playoff picture they do still hold on to the seventh seed. Yet they fell two spots. I guess for now it’s hope that the close games swing back to winning.

2024 PLL Teams Announced

There are some changes coming to the PLL in 2024. Eight teams with new identities and logos. Each team was given a city to represent. Boston,California,Carolina,Denver,Maryland,New York, Philadelphia and Utah are the new locations for the teams.

The Denver Outlaws replace Chrome Lacrosse club while the other seven teams got refreshes with the logo and location.

I think the new logos look awesome. My favorite of the new looks is probably the Utah Archers. It’s a cool look and the orange and blue color scheme is pretty sharp looking.

Excited to see the new looks on the field for the 2024 season!

Rome Braves Rebrand

The Rome Braves, the high-A team of the Atlanta Braves have decided on a new team name and logo. They finally leave the land of teams being named after their parent club for something unique and fun.

Welcome the Rome Emperors complete with brand new penguin logo. I love it! It’s a cool twist on the city of Rome and Roman Empire type astatic with the columns and color scheme of gold, white and red but then have an emperor penguin as the mascot. I think it’s a serious enough name, but still unique and fun. It’s got the fun Minor League charm without being too over the top it’s got good balance.

I can’t wait to add the hat to my collection too! What you would you grade this new logo? I’m giving it an A!
