Pro Volleyball Federation 2024 Semifinals Picks

S. Samek

The Pro Volleyball Federation is having their first ever playoff tournament starting tomorrow. The Atlanta Vibe will play the Grand Rapids Rise in the first semifinal, while the host Omaha Supernovas a battle the San Diego Mojo.

Which teams will win and move on to face each other for the first championship in league history? Here are my predictions.

Atlanta Vibe vs Grand Rapids Rise. I’m taking the Vibe; they have been the best team all year and it wouldn’t surprise me if they win it all this season.

Omaha Supernovas vs San Diego Mojo. While it’s tempting to pick the Mojo has they enter this game on a three-game winning streak, it’s hard to pick against the Supernova. The 9-3 home record I feel does give them an advantage as they host the playoff tournament. I’m picking the Supernovas to advance.

Mojo Make Playoffs

S. Samek

The fourth and final team has clinched a playoff spot in the 2024 Professional Volleyball Federation Playoffs. The San Diego Mojo are headed to the playoffs.

A win over the Columbus Fury in four sets on Monday May 7th, 2024, got them their 11th win of the season and 10th in the past 16 games.

They join the Atlanta Vibe, Omaha Supernova and Grand Rapids Rise in the first ever playoffs for the federation.

Seeing has yet to be determined outside of the Vibe as top seed. The Mojo are currently in third place and can clinch that spot with a win during one of their final two matches. A Rise loss to Omaha would also give the Mojo the third seed.

Stay tuned as the playoffs are just a week away. Now that the field is set who will win the first ever Pro Volleyball Federation title?

Rise Claim spot in Postseason

Shortly after the Omaha Supernova clinched a spot in the Pro Volleyball Federation playoffs, the third team punched their ticket to the tournament.

The Grand Rapids Rise will be headed to the playoffs. With a win over the San Diego Mojo, they earned their 11th win of the year and a playoff berth. With one week left in the season one spot in the playoffs is still up for the taking.

Supernovas Clinch Playoff Spot

S. Samek

The Omaha Supernovas became the second team to clinch a playoff spot in the Pro Volleyball Federation playoffs for their inaugural season.

After the Atlanta Vibe became the first team to do so, the Supernova would then follow suite.

The Supernova are looking to clinch the second seed for the playoffs and can do so with a pair of wins, or a pair of losses by the San Diego Mojo.

The playoff tournament is being played in Omaha‘s home arena however they can’t clinch the one seed as Atlanta has already clinched the top seed.

The playoffs start on May 15, 2024, with the semifinals and then May 18th, 2024, is the championship.

Atlanta Vibe Clinch Top Seed

S. Samek

While the Atlanta Vibe previously made Professional Volleyball Federation history by being the first team to clinch a playoff spot in league history, they went and took it one step further.

The Vibe will be the number one seed for the tournament. With a 17-5 overall record and the top spot in the standings, they have won eight of the past nine matches. They have two matches left in their season. before the playoff tournament with the next one being Sunday April 28, 2024, against Las Vegas.

Its another first in Vibe franchise and Federation history as the become the first ever top seed. Can they finish as the first ever league champions though? Find out when the playoffs begin in May.

Atlanta Vibe Make History

S. Samek

The Atlanta Vibe of the Professional Volleyball Federation made some history the other night. They became the first team to ever clinch a playoff spot in the first year league.

A 15-4 record through 19 matches has them atop the standings ahead of the second place Omaha Supernovas at 11-6. They have won six matches in a row and 11 of the past 12. They are playing well which is good heading into the playoffs to build that momentum.

They clinched a spot with a 3-1 win over Omaha this past Saturday. Now their next match is on Tuesday April 16th against the Grand Rapids Rise. Can the Vibe extend their streak to seven in a row? Can they improve on a 7-2 home record?

Which teams will clinch playoff spots next and join the Vibes on the hunt for the championship trophy? Stay tuned to find out. Congratulations to the Vibe though for their historical playoff clinching in the Professional Volleyball Federation.

The Pro Volleyball Federation has announced the location of the semifinals and championship games. Omaha will play host to the games on May 15th and 18th, 2024.

Omaha Supernovas are currently in second place in the league, while also having the best attendance mark in the federation. Making the choice to Omaha a no brainer.

If you can’t make it to Omaha, you can watch it on CBS Sports.

Fury and Mojo Both get Fist Wins in Franchise History

S. Samek

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned how two teams in the Pro Volleyball Federation were searching for their first win as a franchise. The Columbus Fury and San Diego Mojo were the last two teams in search of the win.

Well, they both have met that goal. The Fury won a game over the Omaha Supernovas 3-1 on Wednesday February 21, 2024, to enter the win collum.

The Mojo defeated the Grand Rapids Rise on Friday February 23, 2024, 3-1 to claim the first victory in their history. Both teams do remain at the bottom of the standings, but at least neither team will go winless this season.

Fury and Mojo Looking for First Win

S. Samek

Both the Columbus Fury and San Diego Mojo sit at the bottom of the Pro Volleyball Federation standings winless. Tonight, Columbus has a chance to win their first game in team history.

They have to defeat the Orlando Valkyries to do so. If not, the Mojo could overtake them if they pick up their first win ever, if they defeat the Vegas Thrill on Monday February 19, 2024. Will either of these teams pick up win number one this stretch? Which team will win first? I’m thinking the Mojo get a win before the Fury do.
