MLW 5/17/24 Video

It’s the next to last video for slate one of the MLW season. In this weeks matchup we have interleague play between the Western Wildcats and Downtown Diamondbacks.

Both teams were eliminated in the division series last year, with that loss ending the Diamondbacks quest for three titles in a row.

Now with a pair of 2024 draft picks including the number one overall pick, the Wildcats look to retool and reach the championship once again.

I’m predicting the Wildcats take two of the three games and win the series.

2024 MLW Opening Day

The first video of the MLW season is dropping today. The season begins with a world series rematch between the Metro Magic and Eastern Eagles. Will the Magic be able to win the series, or will The Eagles get some revenge?

With both teams staying pat and not making a selection in the draft it could be a similar story to the world series. Will that move pay off for either team? Find out in this interleague series. The two teams didn’t play last season during the regular season.

Also worth noting the Eagles are playing in back-to-back opening day series. They lost the series 2-1 to the Midwest Mallards. The Magic played the Great Lakes Gators in their opening series and took the series 2-1. The series win was the Magic’s first opening series win in team history.

My prediction for the winning team on opening day is the Magic 2-1.

2024 MLW Post Draft Power Rankings

MLW recently held their draft, which means it’s almost time for opening day. In fact, today the spring training video is going to drop. In preparation for opening day let’s rank the teams. Then for comparison here is how MLW themselves ranked them.

2024 MLW Draft

It’s the long-awaited time of the offseason for MLW wiffleball. The draft video is dropping today!

New this year to the draft is the fact that teams can decline to use their pick.

The Wildcats hold this year’s first round pick as well as the third pick making them the only team with multiple picks. The Gators are the only team in the draft without a pick.

Who Will the Wildcats take at number one, or will they trade the pick? How many new players will enter the league and how many teams will decline to use their picks? Find out at 4 pm Est when the video hits the YouTube channel.

MLW Pipe It up Redraft

It’s tough getting through the MLW offseason. However, the Pipe it up Podcast is a good place to get an MLW fix without games. This past Tuesday they had a fun episode where Tommy and Jack, the hosts redrafted all the teams of MLW to make new ones with the current Players. It was a great episode and highly recommended. Though the question is which of these new look teams would win the MLW world series?

I’m leaning picking the new look Wildcats. The seem to have a solid lineup and strong pitching. Worth noting it’s for fun draft, they aren’t actually switching teams.

MLW Post 2023 World Series Power Rankings

Let’s do a little post World Series, prior to the draft power rankings.

8.Gators

It was an ugly year for the Gators. easily

7.Cobras

Seemed like everything that could go wrong this year did. They did have a chance to make the playoffs though during their last series of the year which was more than the Gators could say.

6.Wildcats

Upset in the playoffs by the lower seed Predators. and while it was a bummer of a post season, they could be looking at a turning point with a super high draft pick.

5. Diamondbacks

They did well during the regular season but ran out of gas in the playoffs. Though it’s hard to count this team out.

4.Predators

They put up a strong second half and run to the ALCS. Yet they just couldn’t get by the Magic.

3.Mallards

For the second year in a row, they can’t finish it off in the NLCS. However they did take a game off the Eagles during that series, which is why I have them over the Predators.

2.Eagles

It was a disappointing ending to the year, blowing the 2-0 lead in the world series. Yet they had a great playoff beating both the Diamondbacks and Eagles from the last spot in the bracket.

1.Magic

World Series winners taking the last three games in a row. Making them a very easy number one ranking.

2023 MLW World Series

The stage is set for the MLW World Series. The Magic and Eagles will battle for the crown. It’s a best of five series for the title. Now the series was played on Sunday October 29th,2023 in Atlanta with fans in attendance. However, the videos aren’t uploaded yet. The first one game one is set to be uploaded on November 10th, 2023. Today’s video is just a preview of the series.

I don’t know who won the series so when making my prediction it’s a shot in the dark. I’m thinking the Magic win in four games.

MLW Video 10/27/2023

Here we have the American League Championship Series. The top seeded Magic face the two seed Predators. The Predators have found the grove in the second half of the season and playoffs behind dominant pitching. The Magic have cooled off a bit in the second half, but still played well this season thanks to the strong draft picks. It should be interesting to see if they can avoid being the second top seed to fall in the Championship Series, like the Mallards did last week. Winner faces the Eagles in Atlanta. I’m picking the Predators 2-1.
