It’s the next to last video for slate one of the MLW season. In this weeks matchup we have interleague play between the Western Wildcats and Downtown Diamondbacks.

Both teams were eliminated in the division series last year, with that loss ending the Diamondbacks quest for three titles in a row.

Now with a pair of 2024 draft picks including the number one overall pick, the Wildcats look to retool and reach the championship once again.

I’m predicting the Wildcats take two of the three games and win the series.

2024 MLW Opening Day

The first video of the MLW season is dropping today. The season begins with a world series rematch between the Metro Magic and Eastern Eagles. Will the Magic be able to win the series, or will The Eagles get some revenge?

With both teams staying pat and not making a selection in the draft it could be a similar story to the world series. Will that move pay off for either team? Find out in this interleague series. The two teams didn’t play last season during the regular season.

Also worth noting the Eagles are playing in back-to-back opening day series. They lost the series 2-1 to the Midwest Mallards. The Magic played the Great Lakes Gators in their opening series and took the series 2-1. The series win was the Magic’s first opening series win in team history.

My prediction for the winning team on opening day is the Magic 2-1.

2024 MAW Steel City Showdown

Wiffleball action is coming to the Steal City! Once again Pittsburgh will host the Steel City Showdown the last of Mid Atlantic Wiffle’s open tournaments.

The event will be held on August 17th, 2024, at Greentree Park. It’s going to be the last tournament before the playoffs.

Excited to see some good wiffleball coming to the Pittsburgh area.

2024 MAW Opening Day Tournament

Wiffle Ball season is starting up again. Mid Atlantic Wiffle (MAW) is hosting their opening day tournament this weekend in York, PA. 20 teams are in the field for this event. The Uwiffs national champions in 2023 the Usual Suspects will be there, though they will be playing as the Screaming Eagles.

Heavy hitters such as the Juggernauts, ERL, TC35 and more will be in attendance as they try to start the year off with a win.

Here is the link to the group draw for the primary rounds. Should be a good weekend of Wiffle Ball.

MLW Pipe It up Redraft

It’s tough getting through the MLW offseason. However, the Pipe it up Podcast is a good place to get an MLW fix without games. This past Tuesday they had a fun episode where Tommy and Jack, the hosts redrafted all the teams of MLW to make new ones with the current Players. It was a great episode and highly recommended. Though the question is which of these new look teams would win the MLW world series?

I’m leaning picking the new look Wildcats. The seem to have a solid lineup and strong pitching. Worth noting it’s for fun draft, they aren’t actually switching teams.

MLW Video 10/27/2023

Here we have the American League Championship Series. The top seeded Magic face the two seed Predators. The Predators have found the grove in the second half of the season and playoffs behind dominant pitching. The Magic have cooled off a bit in the second half, but still played well this season thanks to the strong draft picks. It should be interesting to see if they can avoid being the second top seed to fall in the Championship Series, like the Mallards did last week. Winner faces the Eagles in Atlanta. I’m picking the Predators 2-1.

MLW 10/20/2023 Video

Today’s video is the NLCS. We have the Mallards taking on the Eagles. This is a rematch of the opening day series the Mallards won 2-1. I think the Mallards will win and move on to the World Series.

10/13/2023 MLW Video

It’s the American League Division Series with the Wildcats playing the Predators. The Predators swept the Wildcats during the regular season as part of a second-half surge that saw them take the two seed. I’m predicting the Predators to win and advance to play the Magic.

MLW Video 10/6/2023

The regular season has concluded and it’s time for some playoff Wiffleball! The road to the title starts in the National League. The Diamondbacks take on the Eagles for the second year in a row in the division series. Last year the Diamondbacks were the three seed when they ran the table all the way to the title. This year the Eagles have the three seed.

Both teams are coming into the playoffs on the heels of two out of three series wins against the Magic and Wildcats during slate five. While it could be anybody’s series to win. I’m predicting the Diamondbacks get it done and move on to rematch the Mallards.

2023 UWiffs Championship

The United Wiffleball championship tournament returns to York Pennsylvania this weekend. 40 Teams will try and earn the crown as wiffleball champions. Once again it will be a world series as Canada is sending a team this year for the first time ever.

The U17 MLW invitational will also happen that weekend. Nine teams qualified for that event.
