MLW July 21, 2023 Video

It’s the final matchup of slate three as the Diamondbacks and Gators do battle in a National League division series. The Diamondbacks look to take the best record in all of MLW into the All-Star break. The Gators look to improve their playoff chances heading into the break. I’m Predicting a 3-0 sweep for the Diamondbacks.

Pirates Sign Skenes

After drafting him at number one overall, the Pittsburgh Pirates have signed Paul Skenes. He signed for a record $ 9.2 million. This breaks the record from 2020 when the Tigers signed Spencer Torkelson for $8.4 million.

They will evaluate him in Florida, before deciding which level to send him too. Though it’s nice to have the top pick in the organization with no issues.

2023 PBA League Draft Part Two

So yesterday I was talking about the PBA League draft. Well, here’s what happened in that draft.

Packy Hanrahan went as the first player picked in the actual draft. The first round was teams being allowed to protect players and bring them back to their team. Each one could protect up to three players. Hanrahan was formerly with Portland but wasn’t protected. This allowed for New York to select him with the first pick in round two. New York also made the last pick adding Michael Tang to the team.

Portland is the Three-time defending champions. They will look to add to their title count this September.

2023 LCS Summer Split Week Six Power Rankings

It’s the last week before playoffs. Who is looking good and who isn’t?

10.Flyquest

A big win over EG is nice. However, they are still tied for the worst record in the LCS and could miss the playoffs.

9. Immortals

Tied with Flyquest in overall record and could also miss the playoffs.

8.Dignitas

An 0-3 Week really hurts. They are currently in the playoffs for now, but a tough week six schedule could maybe seem them jumped in the standings.

7. 100 Thieves

In the playoffs for now, but nothing really spectacular.

6. TSM

100 Thieves did snap their five-game winning streak in the last game of week five. However, they have a game lead over them and Dignitas in the standings as well as can’t be caught by Flyquest or Immortals. So TSM is in the playoffs.

5.NRG

A four-game winning streak has them rising at the right time heading toward the playoffs.

4.Evil Geniuses

A four-game losing streak has them reeling at the wrong time.

3.Team Liquid

They have nine wins and a spot in the playoffs. Though a head-to-head match with EG could determine seeding, as could their match with GG.

2.Golden Guardians

Golden Guardians look to steal the top spot from Cloud 9, who they have split two games with this season. Though for now they celebrate getting to 10 wins and having a strong spot in the playoffs.

1.Cloud 9

They have the best overall record and a pretty easy schedule for week six.

Priester and Rodriguez Debut for Pittsburgh

Last night two of Pittsburgh’s top prospects made their MLB debuts. Quinn Priester and Endy Rodriguez. Neither of them had a great debut as the Guardians crushed the Pirates 11-0.

Priester pitched five and a third innings giving up seven earned runs on seven hits. He walked two and struck out two while allowing a pair of home runs. He was also charged with the loss.

Rodriguez went 0-4 with three strikeouts in the game as the catcher.

Disapointing to see two top prospects struggle in their debut and hopefully things will get better for them with more playing time.

UBA Playoffs 2023

The road to Battle Bowl and the championship of the UBA has started this past weekend. Last season Murder Inc won the season tour title. They have a chance to repeat as the fifth seed coming out of the Northeast conference. They did win their second-round matchup to advance to round three this coming weekend. The top eight teams from the bracket will make it to Battle Bowl for the shot at the title.
